PROPER AESTHETICS STRETCH MARK CAMOUFLAGE

What is Camouflage Tattooing?

Camouflage Tattooing is a form of micropigmentation. Pigments are inserted into the middle layer of skin (dermis) to correct the color of the 'white' stretch mark so it can blend in with the surrounding natural skin tone. The process of needling itself can improve the appearance of the stretchmarks by producing collagen in the scar. The insertion of the ink disguises them further making the scars match to your skin tone. The best part is, we do it in one session! One touch up is however recommended to achieve the most flawless look. (Individual cases may vary).

The Ideal Candidate for Stretch mark Camouflage Tattoo

The best candidates have fully healed, flat, lighter-than-skin scars or stretch marks that are at least 2 years old.. Red, purple, raised, or textured scars may require skin preparation or alternative methods before camouflage can be performed. During your consultation, we evaluate whether you are a candidate and create a personalized plan

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Best part about Camouflage Tattoo is that results are shown after the FIRST session. However, one touch up is recommended to achieve the most flawless look. Please note that it does take on average 40-60 days to see the final results. Healing time could increase for someone prone to hyperpigmentation.

What to Expect After Your Camouflage Tattoo?

There is little to no downtime after this procedure. You can resume to work on the same day. However, we recommend the treated area not get exposed to water for the first 24 hours. Your Artist will send you home with an after care package consisting of a moisturizing barrier ointment & after care instructions for ideal healing.

What Happens When You Tan After The Camouflage Tattoo

For most people, once they tan, their white stretch marks stand out more because of the contrast between the tanned skin and the 'white' stretch marks. This is when your stretch marks are most visible. After camouflaging, your skin will tan as it naturally does and your tattooed stretch marks will remain the same tone as your natural skin. Thus, making your stretch marks less noticeable. The above picture will help you understand and visualize it better.
